This church, which takes its name probably for an ancient lime kiln present around there, in the XIIth century was just a simple chapel of Visitation; you can see traces of the original structure of the XIVth century in the apsis and in the nave on the right. Rebuilt in the XVIIIth century, this church, not so considerable for the architecture, has the merit to keep some wonderful Renaissance canvas like: Bishop Apollonio who distributes the Eucharist (1520 – 1525) by Romanino, the Visitation by Callisto Piazza from Lodi (1525) and the Supper in the Pharisee home by the mature Moretto.
