The building of this church started in 1519, required by the Minori friars of the adjoining monastery (abolished in the 1867) and finished after 1578. On the façade, ornate with three skylight pinnacles in fired, opens the portal of the XVIth century, two imposing columns with tympanum. In inside there are ten chapels in each side closed with beauty wrought iron railings and decorated by paintings, most of which by painters from Brescia of the eighteenth century and the majestic organ by Antegnati (1581). Contemporary of the church are the two cloister on the west: the first one called of St. Bernardino or the Sacristy, with 29 lunettes painted in frescos by Gandino (1565 – 1630) and Mobello with St. Bernardino from Siena’s life story and some view of the Franciscan monastery; the second one of the Guest-room, with columns and capitals used again from the Loggia’s structure and St. Agostino’s monastery, the frescos are by Capello (1665 – 1741). The third cloister of St. Giuseppe in late Renaissance Style (1610), is next to Arte Diocesana Museum in via Gasparo da Salò.
