S. Faustino in Riposo
(detta di S. Rita)
Via Musei

Hidden between houses, with the entrance under the vault of Porta Bruciata, this Church was erected at the end of the XIIth century on the ruins of a chapel of the VIIIth – Ixth century, where stopped the solemn procession taking the bodies of the SS. Faustino e Giovita. The outside of the church, visible from the small square on the right side of Porta Bruciata (Burnt Door), is characterized by a cylindrical tambour in regular stone bricks and the cylindrical small cell of the belfry with round fired coffer.
